I don't know if I can truly express how much I *love* my new PEN! I love having a camera at hand and ready to go for those spontaneous moments that arise! And...it's purple!

Shashin
Instead of actually doing what I was supposed to be doing, I decided to take some pictures of my baby - for my Christmas cards.
Meet Shashin. Don't be fooled by her innocent look.
My dad has an old (old...old...old) desk lamp that clamps nicely to things - I decided to use it to try for a bit of side light. I'm thinking I'll get a photoflood bulb for it next time so my white balance doesn't need quite as much editing. But it worked nicely. Shot these with my 50 f/1.8 which is probably still one of my favorite lenses.
I made some updates around the blog: There is a link to my twitter and a my Facebook page, finally have a new photography toy of the moment, and I updated my gear bag and added a link under "Links of Note" to a new website I discovered that I absolutely adore: Photojojo.
